From Point of Injury to En-Route Care –
A standardized and modular object model using High Level Architecture (HLA).
Join us with Damon Curry presenting his paper at ITEC 2019.
16 May 2019 | 11:30 – 12:00 | Theatre 2 | Technologies and Architectures
The paper will describe results of a US Dept of Defense sponsored study to apply modeling and simulation to medical training specifically in the areas of Point Of Injury and En-Route Care. Previous studies have revealed problems in communications during the hand-off of patients from one level of care to the next. The paper continues by describing the specific application of the modeling and simulation standard technology, “High Level Architecture” (HLA), in development of a Federation Object Model (FOM) that could be the basis for a standardized Medical Modeling & Simulation FOM for future systems. The paper describes technical details about integration of multiple medical training related products into a distributed training system.
